About me
I'm a BBA Finance General student at PES University, developing an interest in company research, financial analysis, stock markets and business strategy. I want to understand not just what a company reports, but why its numbers look the way they do.
Why this publication exists
The Research Ledger is an independent educational publication where I explore business models, financial performance and the strategic decisions behind companies. Each article is an attempt to read a business through its own disclosures: how it earns money, where the costs sit, and what the numbers suggest about its choices.
What I write about
Indian companies and industries, financial statements, and business strategy. I'm particularly interested in consumer businesses, where everyday convenience hides complicated economics.
How I approach research
Start with primary sources. Keep what a company reports separate from what I calculate and what I think. Show every source, and say plainly what I don't yet know. The full approach is set out in the research methodology.
Learning in public
I'm a student, and this is a learning journey rather than professional advice. Early pieces will have gaps; feedback and corrections are genuinely welcome and help me improve.
